Eric Oakes L.C.S.W., C.A.P. - Clinical Director
Eric Oakes possesses a masters degree in social work, and is a licensed clinical social worker and a certified addictions professional. He has been working in the mental health and addictions fields for twenty years, and has been has spent more than half of that time at a director level. He has a vast knowledge of working with adults, women with children, adolescents and individuals with mental illness and addiction.

jim-davis James F. Davis, CAS - Executive Director
James is a Board Certified Interventionist. He has a wealth of experience in the administration of drug abuse treatment and alcohol treatment centers. James has been sober for 29 years and has spent the last 14 years working directly with the families and loved ones of addicted people.
john-pitselos Dr. John Pitselos - Clinical Consultant
John Pitselos received his doctorate in 1981 from Hofstra University and moved to Florida where he specializes in substance abuse and dual diagnosis treatment. He is certified as both a Substance Abuse and Mental Health professional. As a therapist, professor, program director and clinical director Dr. Pitselos has worked in hospitals, detox, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs.
leila-macpherson Leila Macpherson - Therapist
Leila Macpherson is a graduate of Oxnard College in California with a degree in addiction studies, and currently seeks advanced degrees at Florida Atlantic University. Ms. Macpherson’s passion for recovery and over 10 years in the field have brought her to the East Coast of Florida. Macpherson serves the Recovery First family as a Florida Certified Addictions Counselor.
mike-bonnet Mike Bonnet - Therapist
Michael Bonnet has a Masters of Science in Counseling Education. He has eighteen years of experience in social services including mental health counseling, crisis intervention and addiction treatment. Mr. Bonnet has experience with twelve step programs. He takes a holistic approach to the treatment of addiction by addressing the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects of recovery.
Sheryl Sheryl Franciosi - Nurse
Sheryl Franciosi, RN graduated from Broward Community College in 1990 and has been working in the field of Chemical Dependency for the past 8 years. She is an expert in chemical detoxification. She assesses clients upon admission and facilitates groups in our residential rehab program. She has 23 continuous years of sobriety and real world application of the twelve steps of AA.
john-capraro John Capraro BRI-1 - Admissions / Interventions
John Capraro brings a wealth of experience to Recovery First, Inc. John has been helping addicts and their families for over ten years. As a Board Registered Interventionist, John can provide the knowledge and support for you or a loved one in taking the first step on the road to recovery.
beth-austin Beth Austin, CBHT - Director of Housing
Beth Austin started working with Recovery First as a Behavioral Tech in December of 2003. She has since completed education in addictions at PBBC and is currently the Director of Housing & Transportation. Since she has found her passion & her position here at Recovery First, she realizes it's no longer "work" when you love what you do.
annette Annette Swan, CBHT - Tech
Annette Swan has worked in the mental health and substance abuse fields for approximately four years. She was attracted because she is a recovering addict and has a desire to help people who are facing the same obstacles she was able to overcome. She has gained great insight and has been afforded the opportunity to use the skills she has acquired from Recovery First in her own recovery program.
marcelious Marcelious Alexander, CBHT - Tech
Marcelious Alexander is currently a Behavioral Health Tech. He has been in the Substance Abuse field for over 8 years. Prior to assuming this position, he was the Program Coordinator for a Juvenile Residential/Day Treatment Center. His goal is to continue to advance in this field and help as many people as he can to regain control of their lives and live happy.
