Recovery First offers various types of therapy throughout our programs, in both group and individual formats. Our therapies include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, process group therapy, motivational interviewing, and more. Therapy allows you to get to the heart of what propels your substance use, to address those issues, and to develop coping skills. At Recovery First, we also provide the option of medication-assisted treatment, or MAT, for those who are good candidates. This involves the use of certain medications, combined with therapy, to help you achieve lasting recovery. We also know that you will face challenges when you leave Recovery First, so we work with you while in treatment to help you create an aftercare plan that may include steps such as attending an outpatient program and/or going to regular 12-step meetings in your area that you and your family can follow to help you keep your momentum when you return to your daily life. If you need extra support, we can also help set you up in a sober living facility. Our alumni program also keeps you connected to others who understand what you’re going through and to your recovery journey. Through regular meetings and events, you’ll keep focused on sobriety while also building and maintaining a supportive network of people who understand the ups and downs of living a life of sobriety.
