Nitara Osbourne

Nitara Osbourne, M.Ed., is a Content Specialist at American Addiction Centers (AAC).

As an Award-Winning Writer of the movie Running on Empty Dreams and with 20+ years of professional writing experience, she went on to be the Founder of The Infinite Writer Agency prior to working for AAC.

Nitara’s agency has produced a number of projects in a short period of time, including editing the professional development book The Office Game by K.V. Scott and editing the bestselling book You are Enough: 5 Steps to Move from Struggle to Strength by Megan R. Fenyoe.

Nitara received her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Loyola University and her master’s degree in Education from American InterContinental University, and she taught Screenwriting as a Faculty Associate (adjunct college professor) at Arizona State University.

Leah Miller, MHC

Leah Miller earned a certificate in chemical dependency counseling from Suffolk County Community College, and her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Hofstra University. Leah began working with substance use disorders through an internship and saw the need for integrated treatment for dually diagnosed clients. Through schooling and beyond, Leah has worked with people with substance use disorders as well as severe mental illness, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, and personality disorders.  Leah also works with families of clients to educate them about the diagnosis of their loved ones and how to help them work towards recovery.  Through her work with American Addiction Centers, Leah strives to educate the public and reduce the stigma surrounding substance use disorders and mental illness.

Ryan Kelley, NREMT

Ryan Kelley is a nationally registered Emergency Medical Technician and the former managing editor of the Journal of Emergency Medical Services (JEMS). Joy Sutton

Joy Sutton, director of corporate communications for American Addiction Centers, started her career as a journalist. She served as the health reporter/anchor for CBS affiliate WDBJ for more than a decade. Other career highlights include covering the impeachment hearings of President Bill Clinton and the Virginia Tech shootings as well as launching her own television talk show.

After leaving the news business, she worked as a marketing communications manager for HCA Southwest Virginia for several years prior to joining American Addiction Centers in 2016.

Joy is a proud graduate of Howard University where she received her degree in journalism. She also holds a Master’s degree in Health Promotions from Virginia Tech.
